For those who are interested in cannabis, you may wonder where to start. With the stigma still there and is still demonized by many, there is a ton of misinformation that a lot of people do believe still. With a lot of people starting to learn a bit more about cannabis though, we’re starting to hit the era of getting curious, along with accepting cannabis. It’s not just welcomed, but it’s also something that’s since been legalized. Here are some things to know about cannabis. 

Stop having a stigma with it 

A big part of this is that you need to realize that cannabis is not something that should be stigmatized. But due to the propaganda and the misrepresentation of this, it’s still viewed on the same level that narcotics are, but the thing is, it can help with anxiety, appetite issues, and even help with cancer side effects. 

Be responsible 

Cannabis does alter the mind, and it’s something that you need to be responsible with. You should never use THC and then try to drive a car, and you should also be mindful of CBD. You should make sure all of the produces you use that are cannabis-types should be locked away from animals and children. 

Don’t be afraid to Ask Questions 

There is no stupid question with cannabis, and that’s something a lot of people need to be mindful of. Going to a dispensary and finding out about this is a good way to get informed of what’s going on. They can help you get recommendations, and you can also get educated on various parts to this. Education is the goal of using cannabis, and you shouldn’t be afraid to ask questions, while also being open-minded, since there is a lot of misinformation that surrounds this. 

Do this slow 

Being slow is something that a lot of people tend to forget with cannabis. But the thing is, THC can be strong for first-time users.  You can always have more if you needed, but you can’t go back and take less if needed. If the body isn’t used to the sensation of being high along with the feelings, or you take more THC than you can handle, your body may react, and it can make you paranoid and anxious, ruining the experience. So don’t be afraid to go slow! Don’t be afraid to go the less is more approach with THC, and make sure that you take things slow and steady.

Get Comfy 

Don’t try to do this with friends or out in public, since you don’t know how you’ll be when you’re high. At home, you can alter the surroundings and you don’t have to worry about getting home. 

Use proper verbiage 

Don’t call cannabis marijuana, since this is something that’s still got a negative connotation with it, and it’s less about the holistic parts of this. Some people still associate it with the criminalization of this. Try to use cannabis and the products associated with cannabis. You also should make sure that you know the terminology when you’re talking about it with someone. 

This can be a little bit daunting, but it does make you look better. You should definitely know the difference between THC and CBD in any case. CBD of course doesn’t have the psychoactivity effects, but THC does, and they both offer differing types of benefits that might help you. Regardless of what you do choose, you definitely want to make sure that you get the correct type of cannabis that you want to consume and get a good strain.
